OUTDOORS: WINTER MAGIC

In winter, the Panorama Terrasse Uetliberg is a popular place for all Zurich locals and visitors. In the evening it turns into a cozy winter wonderland with hot soup, sausage or raclette, and mulled wine. The terrace offers a great view over Zurich with the lights of the city below and magical views at night.

When: every day after 11:00 until 28 February 2022. 

HISTORY

Humans Carved in Stone Exhibition in the Swiss National Museum explores the history of sculptures in Europe that were created during the Neolithic Era. The sculptures were created up to 6,000 years ago and are currently housed in various European Countries.

When: until 16 January 2022

GIVE AND TAKE

The Give&Take exchange returns to the Climate Pavilion from 3 January till mid-February! Located in central locations in Winterthur and Zurich Give&Take is the house of giving, where everybody can bring everything, what others can still use and can take what they like. According to the slogan: Give&Take – so that things live longer!

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE 

Viva Frida Kahlo – Immersive Experience is an opportunity for visitors to get closer to the artist than ever before. The audio-visual installation features a light show of projections from the renowned Mexican painter’s most famous works. The immersive sound and light experience has been extended until 27.02.2022 due to great success. 

The new MAAG Light Hall is the first permanent museum in Switzerland to show only immersive exhibitions. Works by outstanding artists are illuminated, animated, set to music, and projected on the walls, ceilings, and floors.

ALTERNATIVE PERSPECTIVE 

The floating theatre is the best place to experience Zurich from another perspective. It’s a part of the culture of Zurich that has been there for many years. Docked at Bellevue Zurich it is a restaurant and a theatre with a diverse program: plays, live music magic shows among other things to offer. It is full of life and is well-decorated in the Art Nouveau style.

ART MEETS CONVERSATION 

The Winter Special Elephant Parade in Rapperswil is made up of many large elephants, all of them brightly colored. It was organized as a project for artists, conservationists, and the public. The artists and the organizers, Franco and Claudia Knie, hope to raise awareness of the importance of the conservation of elephants in Asia.

VIRTUAL LIVE STREAMS

The Kosmos cinema in Zurich has new events: virtual live streams in German that happen monthly and involve different topics and speakers. The entry is free.
