March is on its way and it’s time to get out there and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Here are a few recommendations for things to do in Zurich and around in March, just in case you need some inspiration!
This colourful spectacle occurs – depending on the temperatures – as early as mid-March. There are multiple spots to enjoy the cherry blossoms or take pictures of them.

Carnival is the time of year when people don masks, throw confetti and dance in the streets. In Zürich, Carnival takes place at the beginning of March. The costumes are bright and reflect the local culture, music can be heard in different locations around town during this time of year!
Let yourself be carried away and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of waves – in nature, art, everyday life, and research. Please bring your own headphones, if possible.

The Botanical Gardens of the University of Zurich consist of the new Garden in Seefeld with its futuristic domes like greenhouses!

Museum Haus Konstruktiv presents the exhibition Geometric Opulence, a large group show that celebrates a playful approach to geometric and abstract art. Works by John Armleder, Claudia Comte, Sylvie Fleury, Franziska Furter, Peter Halley, Mary Heilmann, Timo Nasseri, Nathalie Du Pasquier and Elza Sile can be experienced.

WONDERS: the third edition of this incredible show with magical light installations finally comes back!

Viva Frida Kahlo – Immersive Experience is an opportunity for visitors to get closer to the artist than ever before. The audio-visual installation features a light show of projections from the renowned Mexican painter’s most famous works.

You will be awed and amazed by the towering chocolate fountain, museum exhibits on production & hands-on workshops with chocolatiers.
Comprising around 80 reprinted posters, the exhibition invites visitors to take an inspiring and surprising stroll through Swiss poster history.

An interactive exhibition about the history of medicine – from the Stone Age to the present day.
