TELC
The VOX Language School is a certified TELC examination center. We offer both group and individual lessons to prepare you as best as possible for the TELC exams, which you can take directly with us.
TELC certificates are required for integration and residence permits (A1, A2, B1), obtaining Swiss citizenship (B1), professional activities (B1, B2), access to universities (C1), and recognition of foreign diplomas (B2, C1).
Exam preparation
Our highly qualified teachers have a university background in linguistics and experience in the preparation for TELC language exams. Their expertise and experience ensure support for your success in language exams. Preparation is offered both in group courses and in individual lessons.

- The examination is divided into two parts: a written section and an oral section. Candidates are required to perform tasks that encompass all skills. The receptive component involves reading, listening, and language comprehension. Tasks may include multiple-choice questions or matching exercises. In the productive segment, which includes writing and speaking, candidates respond to prompts and express themselves either in written form or orally. During the oral examination, the emphasis is on direct interaction between candidates.

I took a month long intensive B1 German course at VOX and it was the best experience I have had so far in my German learning! The class was small and personalised in a very convenient location in downtown Zurich. My teacher, Suzannah Higgs, was knowledgable, engaging and truly cared about my progression. I really noticed a difference in my level of comprehension and speech by the end of the course. I couldn't recommend it enough!
I started my course at VOX in August, and within a few months I found a better job. The German course was very dynamic. With small classes, we could easily ask questions and practice conversation. I stayed with the teacher, Ieva Jefremova, and you can tell she loves what she does and explains very well. The best choice I made, without a doubt.
Good school! The small groups are fantastic because the teacher can focus on each student. Michael is an excellent teacher—very patient and always prepared with fun activities. Highly recommended!
I'm currently taking an in-person German class with Lise, and the experience has been excellent. Lise is an amazing teacher—very supportive and always brings a lot of energy to the lessons. We have a lot of fun while learning, and I've gained so much from her classes. She uses a wide range of materials, including articles, special notes, and videos, which keeps things interesting and interactive. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

For every language we teach at VOX-Sprachschule, we focus on speaking, as it is the most natural form of communication. Many people concentrate on writing and reading, which prevents them from feeling like they are making progress in their target language. We try to approach this learning process differently: when you train yourself to speak first, grammar simply becomes a tool to support you in your language-learning journey. Reading and writing should come naturally, while speaking needs to be practiced at least 15 minutes a day.
